I am always on the hunt for excellent webinars, tutorials, conferences, and guides covering Google AdSense. Earlier this month I found an AdSense conference being held in New York in November; however, I wanted to QUICKLY inform  you about  a free AdSense Webinar that’s taking place over the next month and a half. Actually, the first class was a few hours ago and unfortunately missed. But, it’s not a complete waste becuase as it turns out, the first class that was conducted today will be available again in December.

The class that was missed today (but will be available again on Dec. 2nd) covers AdSense optimization. Specifically on optimizing AdSense for content implementation. This includes advice on proper placement, format, coverage and styling. Additional topics in the class include: How to attract placement targeting campaigns to your site, Tracking the performance of your optimizations via Channels, AdSense for Search regarding the importance of search. The next class starts on Oct. 22nd 5:00pm GMT and is called Teaching our Teachers, which provides advice on using AdSense on educational sites.

There are six more classes in addition to these first for a total of eight free classes. There is no catch. Registering and attending these classes are totally free. I am very pleased to see free Webinars available. These particular classes are online seminars conducted and moderated by Google AdSense specialists. The entire series of classes are designed to help publishers by providing tips and explaining the guidelines on monetizing sites using AdSense. Needless to say, if you have interest in getting the most from Google AdSense, I would make sure to attend each and every class.

At a minimum, if you’re looking to really make the most of the AdSense program and increase your earnings, then I recommend attending the CRS. It’s affordable, far enough in advanced to make plans, and you’ll be aligned with some amazing and knowledgeable people.

I have had an interest in displaying AdSense ads to search traffic only, while keeping my entire blog free of advertisements to regular reader traffic for awhile. The only problem is that I’ve never seem to get around to doing it. Finally, I got around to doing it.

In this article, I’ll show you how to display Google AdSense ads to search traffic only. The process is much easier than I thought, and quite honestly… if I had known how simple it was to do this, I probably would have done this a long time ago.

Be sure to watch the video above. The process involves installing and activating the Who See Ads WordPress plugin. After the plugin has been activated, a few rules will need to be created, and then you’ll need to insert some HTML code into your template. From there you’re done.

It seems like I get at least one email each week from someone asking me about how to increase traffic to a blog or website. Usually after reading the email I’ll take a moment to visit the site that belongs to the person who wrote me. The complaint is very common: Bloggers and site developers feel that they need more traffic to make up for a loss in earnings that differ from what they had originally expected. They feel that by adding more traffic to their site it will then correct their deficit.

Having that said, I am not going to tell you that traffic is a bad thing. The more traffic we all get to our sites the happier we are, that’s a given. Who doesn’t want extra traffic? But that’s not the point. The problem is that most people think increasing traffic is the solution towards fixing a web site that is failing to earn money. That is far from the truth.

In most cases when I check out the sites of the people that email me asking for tips on increasing traffic, what I find is that their site has conversion cancer. Simply put, their websites or blogs are failing to convert for them. It doesn’t matter what it is, some people want to get more Google AdSense clicks, others simply want their visitors to purchase their eBooks. Whatever the call to action may be, It all boils down to the same thing; conversion, and the lack there of.

What good is increasing traffic if the current traffic you already receive doesn’t convert? If the existing traffic you receive doesn’t convert, do you really think that adding more traffic will help conversions? It won’t!

Something is wrong. You have to change something. If your blog or web site doesn’t have a lot of traffic, that is fine! Use that to your advantage. In my business, I based things off percentages rather than by units. In my fleet of a few hundred various sites I own, most are very low volume. Meaning each site I own typically gets around 100 visits per day. Most of my sites are monetized with Google AdSense. My aim is to score 10 clicks per site per day off 100 visits, which equates to 10% conversion.

On occasion, quite a few of my sites get bursts of traffic. When that happens, they still convert at 10%. When more traffic is added, say 1000 visits per day, I make more money off the added traffic because I still convert at 10%. The reason why is because I always focus on conversions based off low volume. Gaining massive amounts of traffic to a blog or web site is the single most difficult thing to achieve. My focus is in taking full advantage of the traffic that I do get.

Consider this and re-visit your blog or web site and ask yourself what you can do to capitalize on the current traffic you get. If making money using Google AdSense is your goal, then consider changing the position of your ads. Maybe change the size of your ad or even the colors. After you make changes, take note of the effects the changes have. If performance increases, try to tweak things even more. If after you tweak things further and find that the results depreciated your earnings, reset things back to how you had them previously, or try something different again.

You’d be amazed when you discover how simple it is to run tests on your site. The beauty of discovering how to score high conversions is the fact that once you discover what works, you can do what I do and duplicate your system over a few hundred times. My Google AdSense earnings for the month of December 2008 exceeded $10,000 USD. This was all generated on a few hundred low volume sites that achieve high conversion rates of 10% or higher.

Before you ask for advice on how to increase traffic, the better question to ask is how can I increase conversion off the current traffic I already receive.

I want to start off by saying that I am not an SEO guru and I never will consider myself to be.  I’d be telling a bold face lie if I said that I was. However, what I do consider myself to be is a very well rounded individual who has some very practical experience in search engine marketing. By default, SEO and SEM are two totally difference animals. However, you really can’t have a successful SEM without a successful SEO, unless of course you are paying for your search engine traffic using programs such as AdWords.

So really, for me being SEM savvy, I have to know the basics in SEO in order to find success in my own search engine marketing ventures, that really is just the tip of the iceberg here.  My business is primarily in making money online with Google AdSense. The way I see it, there is really only one way to do that and that is with successful search engine marketing to a web site or blog that has its content monetized with Google AdSense advertisements.

Think about it for a second, you can’t pay for traffic. If you did, the amount of money you’d spend on the traffic would exceed the amount of money you’d get per click. You can’t really drive traffic using social networking sites such as StumbleUpon or Digg, reason being is that these folks are blind to AdSense ads and don’t click. So really what is left? The last remaining option is in scoring free organic traffic in the search engines.

How Do You Score Free Organic Search Engine Traffic?

Ok. So all this makes sense up to this point, right? And I am sure a lot of this you might already understand. However, the missing ingredient that you may have been searching for but possibly failing to discover is in understanding how you can score all this free and wonderful organic search engine traffic that everyone says is so cool and amazing.

Many people talk about Google and how much traffic you can score by having your content ranked in their index. At times, the news can even get old and annoying. Really though, the overall frustration might not be caused from the people who communicate the message about search engines but rather in their inability to successfully provide you with a road map that leads you down a path of success with leaning how to rank better in the search engines.

Maybe I can help fix that for you. For me, as mentioned above, I am pretty much a SEM AdSense junkie. If you want to sum it up, I make quite a bit of money using Google AdSense. How I do that is in rounding up massive amounts of traffic to pages that are monetized with Google’s AdSense ads. They way I do that is in what I call, “doing a search engine market weather forecast.” In other words, part of my job is predicting what the weather will be like on search engines. Unlike a weather man who predicts rain, in my business I predict keywords.

What Is Keyword Prediction?

Pretty much as it states, keyword prediction is the process of attempting to predict certain keywords or keyword phrases that are going to be hot in the search engines. Within that comes a second element of having to also predict whether or not a predicted keyword can be targetable. What I mean to say by that is when you come to the realization that a certain phrase indeed will become hot in the search engines, will you be able to successfully compete and rank well above and beyond the existing as well as soon to be competition?

How Do You Predict The Weather?

Back in the day, a weather man would predict the weather based off sheer gut feeling and what some would call a 6th sense. In many ways a search engine marketer is the same. For me, I believe that I have a natural talent to predict weather patterns in search engines. Really though, my 6th sense is nothing more than just plain common sense. To predict traffic patterns in search engines you have to have awareness of events that are taking place in the real world. News, sales, commercials and practical questions are to name just a few.

From my generation, the Internet was coined as the Information Super Highway. Meaning that the primary use for the Internet was in seeking information. Today in this digital universe we call the Internet, it has evolved into so much more. The Internet today is combined with the desire to seek information mixed with the desire to reach out and expand with the world socially.

In the business of making money online, for me, I have to closely separate these two elements and focus on the old school information seeking aspect. Doing so gives me the predictability factor. It isn’t hard to predict the weather of search engines. Simply listen to the news, watch TV commercials, and typically listen to what the general population have as common and everyday problems. In doing that, you’ll likely increase your ability to target massive popular keywords to use towards targeting traffic by way of publishing content that provides information that people seek.

What About Keyword Prediction Software?

Yes, there is software available that can help you with this. However, with that you still need to acquire a 6th sense in predicting the weather. But indeed, there are tools available to people who want to target keywords that have a high search count while also yielding a very low level of competition.
