Though I might sumup a lot of those simply as

Use a CMS such as wordpress or Joomla with appropriate plugins. I have used WP for a looong time and I should say I have never regretted it.

When you mentioned create a help section, did you mean FAQ, Frequently Asked Questions page? That would be a good idea, like if you get a lot of emails asking the same questions, you can suggest adding a page to your site where you provide those questions and your answers to those questions! Great, Great Advice!!!! Keep up the good work!

those are some great tips, however with time some things change and i guess a few of those tips has to be changed now for example the email is as good as gmail now

How many of the above tips affect display speed of your WP/ or other blog? I have read recently that if your blog is slow, then the Google Bot skips your site. Any thoughts on this issue? Also, is there a plugin or site that can measure how long does it take for your blog to display its home page?
