However, whenever I come across this statement, I remember a blogger (successful and gets almost in every top page SERPs) who turned of his comments. I was shocked, but he explained that at the end of the day, comments are really worthless and it wastes a bloggers time/

He argued that turning off comments made the discussion go way beyond his blog therefore increasing links (or trackbacks to his post).

I did considered trying this though I still am apprehensive even up to now.</description>
