SEO Tools For Mac Computers

Are you looking for some good SEO tools to use on your Mac? I recently purchased a MacBook Pro and I have to say that I am very impressed with it. I don’t foresee myself ever purchasing a Windows based computer again. Dealing with Windows Vista was my breaking point. That said, because of how popular Windows is, it’s obvious that there’s more SEO tools available for PC rather than Mac. So, in this post, I want to show you some SEO solutions for your Mac computer.

The first isn’t a tool but another article. This article, however, is a very good one. It’s written by Joost de Valk and it covers 13 Mac tools for web developers and SEO’s. Reading it, you’ll discover a few things such as, TextMate, CSSEdit, and RankTracker.

The next item is a PageRank Toolbar specifically for Macintosh. I found this tool on keyword ranking and keyword suggestion tools.

The last element is a program called SheerSEO. This is SEO software designed for Mac computers. It provides users with some of the most accurate information possible. It’s also well known and trusted among some of our top SEO’s. One of the things I find most appealing about the software is it comes with a free 90 day trial. I think that’s impressive. The developers of SheerSEO are so confident that you’ll find the software useful, you’ll end up buying it after 90 days. All in all, they claim that their software is the perfect way to track and analyze your SEO campaigns. Currently, there’s over 23,000 people using SheerSEO.

What are some other SEO tools available for Mac computers? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Sorry I do not know any mac SEO tools. But I think Windows Vista is good. At the beginning, it was hard to get used to that thing. But if you can pass the initial period, you will like Vista. It is easier to use than XP. Just my personal opinion.

Hey Garry … nice round up! I’ve been on a Mac forever and since I’ve been into Internet marketing it’s been tough finding software for it, especially in the SEO space. I had trouble finding a decent rank checker, so went ahead and built a pretty good web-based one. Web-based software is the best, and now I try and avoid actually installing anything on my hard drive whenever possible.

@ Kevin, I have been using Windows based computers most of my life. I agree that Windows Vista is very user friendly; however, it doesn’t run well at all compared to Mac OS X. In fact, the two are in different leagues. The moment I opened my MacBook Pro for the first time, I instantly forgot about Windows. Mac OS X is beautiful and I’ll never used Windows again. With that said, I totally do appreciate you expressing your opinion. The great news is that Windows can run within Max OS X. ;)

@ Chase, I just paid a visit to your site. I’ll definitely stop by for a closer look again this evening.

Instead of using Textmate and CSSEdit as I used to I found Coda from Panic, it combines the two, adds the ability to preview in a browser and also has access to terminal – all in one program.

For rankings I use SERank from Rage, I also use their Domainer for keeping track of my domains. Rage software is especially designed for Macs.

I use Integrity for my link checker, its basically a mac version of Xenu Link Sleuth.

Finally, I’ve got to use Firefox with the web developer toolbar to allow me to ensure all of my pages are valid HTML and also firebug for trouble shooting.

I agree With Kevin Comments, Vista Now growing Very Speed, its good so.

I've never had a Mac, and have struggled with Windows from its 95 incarnation (and the blue screen of death….) Windows 98 Second Edition worked really well for me at the time, and I have been content with XP as my current operating system. The things is my machine is maxed out at 4GB RAM, and I'll need to go to Windows 7 if I want to have a more powerful machine. After the Vista debacle I am still wary of Windows 7, and would far rather look at the logical alternative of a Mac for my imminent upgrade.

It is gratifying to see that there are SEO tools and alternatives for the Mac, because one of the greatest things that are holding back my migration is the fact that man is a creature of habit (some more so than othere…LOL) and change is resisted, even if at a subconscious level. Hence the more positive snippets like this one are presented in favor of the migration, the better the chances of it taking place ;-)
